Abstract:

In general, the financial situation of a single mother less than adequate to fill their needs than when they have a husband. Entrepreneurship may be an option for single mother to fill their needs. When entrepreneur can handle the business they want smoothly and properly, they will feel the satisfaction on entrepreneurship. However, from the facts found in the literature and field study, there were some differences in the satisfaction of entrepreneurship on single mothers because of several things. This study aims to look at how the description of entrepreneurship satisfaction on single mother. To answer these phenomena, the researcher used the theory of Longenecker et al, (2001) and Carree and Verheul (2011). The procedure of data collection done by construct operational sampling. Methods of data collection used are in-depth interviews with semi-structured characteristic. Results showed that subjects 1 and 2 do not feel the satisfaction on entrepreneurship, whereas subject 3 feel the satisfaction on entrepreneurship. Subjects 1 and 2 do not satisfied with their income because the income they got from entrepreneurship does not fully fulfill the family needs. Subject 1 is also not satisfied with the business because she cannot manage her working time freely. Subject 2 is not satisfied with the business because she does not have leisured time since she always used the time for the business in order earns a great income. On the contrary, subject 3 is satisfied with the acquired business due to a large income earned and the subject can freely organize her time for business and she still has time for leisure.
